The Museum accepts gifts of money, memorabilia, photos, pottery, glass, books and all items relating to the history of Shinnston and surrounding areas.
The Museum was formed by resolution under the charter of the City of Shinnston, Board of Museums. According to the Internal Revenue Service, "charitable contributions to government units are tax-deductible under 170(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code if made for a public purpose."
